Pediatric Service

Consultation and treatments provided by specialists in the Pediatric Service include:

  • Adult and Childhood strabismus (crossed eyes, wall eyes, double vision)
  • Congenital cataracts and intraocular lenses
  • Retinoblastoma
  • Ptosis (droopy lids)
  • Congenital glaucoma and other glaucomas of childhood
  • Retinopathy of prematurity
  • Torsion (tilted vision) associated with macular translocation surgery
  • Congenital nasolacrimal duct obstruction (blocked tear ducts)
  • Ocular tumors in children
  • Optic nerve abnormalities
  • Congenital retinal disorder

Pediatric and Adult Neuro-ophthalmology includes:

  • Pseudotumor cerebri
  • Thyroid eye disease
  • Myasthenia gravis
  • Cranial nerve palsy
  • Nystagmus (jerking eyes, wiggly eyes)
  • Biepharospasm and hemifacial spasm (TOP-Botox injections)
