Pediatric and Adult Strabismus Service
The Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus Service is dedicated to
excellence in the diagnosis and treatment of children’s eye diseases and
eye muscle disorders in adults. Duke Pediatric doctors treat children
who need glasses, those with crossed eyes (esotropia), out-turned eyes
(exotropia), droopy lids (ptosis), blocked tear ducts, ocular tumors,
cataracts, glaucoma, optic nerve abnormalities, and retinal disorders.
The Adult Strabismus Service treats adults with all these issues and
also treats patients with double vision.
If you are a patient seeking information about an upcoming visit to the
Pediatric Service, please browse Patient
Information. You will also find useful information about your visit
and the types of people involved in your care in What
to Expect at Your Visit.
If you are a physician in need of referral information, go to Referrals/Services
for a list of provided services and referral phone numbers.
In Meet the
Doctors, you will find short biographical sketches on the Pediatric
faculty members. This will be helpful for physicians referring patients
with specific problems or for patients seeking information about the
Pediatric faculty.
