Oculoplastics and Oncology Services

General Oculoplastics includes the treatment of eyelid malpositions such as:

  • Ptosis
  • Entropion
  • Ectropion 
  • Eyelid retraction
  • Trauma and reconstruction including eyelid and brow repairs
  • Scar revisions
  • Correction of lagophthalmos, trichiasis, and central angle repositioning
  • Eyelid diseases such as benign lesions and inflammations 

Orbital Diseases seen by the service include:

  • Thyroid orbitopathy
  • Orbital trauma including wall and rim fractures and foreign bodies
  • Orbital and optic nerve tumors
  • Inflammatory or infectious processes such as abscesses, cellulites, and pseudo tumors

Lacrimal Disorders: Congenital and acquired diseases of the tear-drainage system are evaluated, and both medical and surgical therapies offered. These include:

  • Simple probing
  • Silicone stent intubation
  • Steroid gel infusion
  • Punctal and canalicular reconstruction
  • DCR surgery/Jones tube placement
  • Lacrimal echography
  • Endoscopic Holmium laser DCR
  • Laser canalicular reconstruction
