Glaucoma surgical services are performed at the Duke Eye Center in
specially designed ophthalmic operating suites. Procedures performed
include:

Combined phacoemulsification (small incision cataract surgery),
intraocular lens implantation, and trabeculectomy (glaucoma surgery)

Trabeculectomy (with anti-fibrotic medications to improve success rate
-
Glaucoma implant surgery (tube or short surgery)
-
Goniotomy (for specific childhood glaucomas)
-
Endocyclophotocoagulation

Complicated cataract surgery (small pupil, pseudoexfoliation, etc.)
