Cornea & External Disease

Cornea and External Diseases Service

The Cornea and External Diseases Service is dedicated to excellence in patient care over the complete spectrum of medical and surgical problems involving the cornea and other anterior structures of the eye. The Cornea Service offers comprehensive capabilities for the diagnosis and treatment of conditions that may benefit from corneal transplantation, complex cataract surgery, intraocular lens implant surgery, and even advanced laser vision correction procedures. This includes the latest technology for surgical procedures such as LASIK for the treatment of nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism.

If you are a patient seeking information about an upcoming visit to the Cornea Service, please browse Patient Information. You will also find useful information about your visit and the types of people involved in your care in What to Expect at Your Visit.

If you are a physician in need of referral information, go to Referrals/Services for a list of provided services and referral numbers.

In Meet the Doctors, you will find short biographical sketches of the Cornea/External Diseases faculty members. This will be helpful for physicians referring patients with special problems or for patients seeking information about the Cornea/External Diseases faculty.
