Some patients are referred for a low vision consultation after surgery. This differs from the post-operative care and is provided by a low vision specialist. Low vision services are also sometimes provided in your local area or may even be provided by local services for the blind in your state. Medicare does NOT presently cover low vision services. The fee for a Low Vision evaluation at the Duke Eye Center is $100.
