The Duke Center for Macular Diseases is proud to be a national and international leader through our unique partnership between the researchers and patient care team. Through this work Duke leads the quest to improve our treatments and to find a cure for macular degeneration.

We are currently pioneering innovative programs in patient education, patient and family support, vision rehabilitation, macular translocation surgery, AMD genetics and research. These programs in concert with a focus on service excellence, aim to create the most valuable experience for patients and families confronting AMD.
