The mission of The Duke Center for Macular Diseases is to provide cutting-edge treatment and research within a multidisciplinary and coordinated framework.

• Provide state-of-the-art medical and surgical care for AMD
• Provide access to AMD clinical trials and new therapies
• Continue groundbreaking research in AMD to discover the next therapy
• Visually rehabilitate patients with vision loss from AMD
• Identify and address the social and emotional issues related to AMD
• Identify and coordinate resources for AMD patients and families
• Continue to work on a national and international level to increase AMD awareness and education
