Research Interests
Tammy Yanovitch, MD, is performing research on underlying genetic
predispositions to the development of retinopathy of prematurity, a
potentially blinding disorder of the retinal vasculature that is seen in
premature infants. She is also evaluating the usefulness of sweep visual
evoked potentials (electrical activity generated in the brain by visual
stimuli) in diagnosing amblyopia (layz eye) in children with Down
syndrome.
