Background

Glenn Jaffe, MD, specializes in both medical and surgical diseases of the posterior segment. He also directs the Uveitis Service at the Eye Center. His surgical interests include proliferate diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, retinal detachment with proliferate vitreoretinopathy, posterior segment surgical procedures required for diagnosis or therapy of uveitis, and surgery for macular holes and subretinal neovascularization. Jaffe's primary research is aimed at understanding the factors that trigger and perpetuate inflammation and intraocular wound healing in diseases such as uveitis and proliferative vitreoretinopathy and to develop novel drug delivery methods to treat a variety of ocular diseases. He was recently honored among the Best Doctors in America.
