Sanjay Asrani, MD, specializes in glaucoma diagnosis and treatment and cataract surgery. He is highly skilled in all forms of cataract and glaucoma surgery, including tube implant, laser and filtering surgery. Research Interests

Asrani has special research interests in the development of new glaucoma medical and surgical treatments including the early diagnosis of glaucoma by using new imaging technology. He has been the recipient of numerous awards, including the Duke Eye Center Award for Ocular Innovation. His research has been funded by Research to Prevent Blindness, Inc., and by the Whitaker Foundation.
